Work leaving dos, do tend to revolve around a pub, unless of course someone is leaving to go on maternity leave. In this case, and because it is always a woman who is leaving, afternoon tea seems to be the order of the day. It was in this vain, that a group of us from work went to William Curley chocolatier and dessert bar in Belgravia. Walking distance from work, but suitably more fancy-pants and luxurious than anything in Whitehall.
We had called ahead and made a reservation. We had also reviewed the desserts and picked what we wanted.

We also attacked the ice cream selection, with the very generous staff behind the counter suggesting that we could try all the flavours if we wanted. This included white chocolate and wasabi and also sea salted caramel.
This was all before we settled down to our pre ordered desserts and coffees. I, unable to decide what to have, of course went for the selection provided by the petit fours. This included a selection of lemon and raspberry tart, a mille-feuille of chocolate, a cherry choux and an apricot cup.
I very much plan on returning for the five course dessert tasting menu on the weekend. Someone get pregnant very soon, alternatively you can sample the dessert menu with champagne for a hen do!
